Dragonfly Pond

Today in class we planned a city around a pond that we pretended had endangered species in it our group thought we did pretty well, we planned out the parks around the pond to protect it, and we distanced the the facilities that were high in pollution away from or downstream from the pond. We failed to realize that all water ends up going to the watershed though, and misplaced the bleach plant. This would’ve caused all waste to have flown in the pond, killing everything. Otherwise we did pretty good. The farm was far away from the river, thus reducing pollution in the river by pesticides, and the houses were located near parks, thus increasing housing cost. But as far as the whole project goes, we failed.
